Making our signs
We start off by cutting boards to length for the sign we are making and sand it down to smooth surface to be able to transfer our stencil for routing. After the stencil is placed, we spray with paint, remove the stencil and start hand routing out the design.
After the design is routed out, all the chips and dust are blown out of the design. Once it is clear of debris the design is painted again followed by another sanding to leave just the paint in the routed design and the surface of the board remains wood.
Then the signs edges get routed to either a chamfer or round over for a nice clean look, and then some of our signs we like to burn and sand again before finish is applied, some we just apply finish to for their final step.
